Individual Virtual Therapy

$175 — 50-minute intake session
$150 — 50-minute individual session

I serve clients ages 18+

All services are private pay only. I accept all major credit cards and HSA cards, and full payment is charged at the time of session. Your credit card information will be securely stored for automatic processing.

I do not take insurance. I offer the option of superbills, which is a receipt of services that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. You will need to check if you have out-of-network mental health benefits through your insurance. Some helpful questions to ask your insurance company:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • What is my deductible for out-of-network coverage? Has it been met?

  • What percentage of each session will I receive as reimbursement? (You might need to specify that CPT code 90834 for a 45-minute psychotherapy session will be used).

  • How do I submit claims for reimbursement?

It is the responsibility of the client or guardian to communicate with their insurance company about their out of network benefits.

All sessions are held over Zoom. I use the version of Zoom specifically designed for healthcare, so all of our conversations will be secure and fully confidential. You can participate in your session from a location of your choosing so long as it is a safe and private spot in the state of North Carolina.

My Approach

I have a holistic, strengths-based approach.

I don't like to pathologize. I believe that anxiety and depression are nervous system responses indicating a lack of safety and control. I believe that behaviors we exhibit are ways for us to maintain some semblance of safety and control. I believe in looking at all of your parts with compassion to understand why you've adapted because of your experiences.

We will be going into your past.

Relationship patterns are developed young. We learn from an early age how to act around others so that we feel safe. We learn what roles to play with our families and friends. I know therapy can feel scary for this very reason—facing our past is HARD! But I know we can find meaning in your current patterns and stresses as we learn how they are linked to your past experiences.

You’ll have autonomy and control.

I want you to let me know what you need from therapy. You'll be choosing what we explore each week. I want you to learn how to self-advocate. Of course, I'll be there to help, which is part of the point! I want you to lean into the control that is rightfully yours within a relationship. I want you to learn what it's like to voice your needs and share your perspective.

I believe therapy is a space to feel emotions.

Of course, we will work to understand your thought processes and your beliefs about yourself. But we will also work to validate the emotions that are tied to those thoughts and beliefs. I will sit with you as you learn to sit with yourself. I will ask you about your emotional experience and through that, you will learn to become more attuned to your feelings.
